Vaser Liposuction

Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that aims to remove fat deposits under the skin. With the vaser liposuction method, the adipose tissue is loosened and broken down, so that fat can be removed more effectively during the treatment.

Vaser Liposuction: Procedure

General anesthesia or sedation is mostly preferred during the vaser liposuction. Firstly, an anesthetic saline solution is injected into the targeted area. A tiny incision is then made into the skin to insert the ultrasound probes. Fat tissue begins to break down slowly. A probe is applied to evacuate the adipose tissue and the liquid by vacuuming. After the procedure is over, some liquid is left in the candidate's body as a pain reliever. The body absorbs this fluid over time.

Vaser Liposuction: Risks and Side Effects

Vaser liposuction has a low-risk procedure. As with other cosmetic operations, some risks and side effects may occur. It should be conscious of the risk of infection. Common side effects include:

• Mild pain in the area where liposuction is applied,
• Scar after liposuction,
• Asymmetry and skin irregularities,
• Swelling in the days following the operation.

After the Vaser Liposuction

After the operation, some bruising and swelling may be seen in the treated areas. The body needs time to heal and therefore, the effects of the treatment may not be seen immediately. A garment can be worn to prevent swelling.

There may be fluid accumulation for a few days following the operation. Sterilized pads are provided for this as a precaution. Fluid consumption is recommended to completely relieve the effects of anesthesia. After about 6 months, the effects of vaser liposuction begin to be seen more clearly. However, it should be noted that the duration of the results may vary from person to person.
